Dave Mazur is a mulit-format radio personality currently in Chicago, Illinois. Dave has been heard on great radio stations in Detroit, Toledo, Milwaukee, and Madison, Wisconsin.
Dave grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago, and loved listening to the radio since he was a kid. Dave along with a couple of his friends used to stay up at night calling radio stations to see if they could get the personality to put them on the air. Technically the first time he was on the radio was at the age of 10 on B96.
Dave attended Illinois State University, where he earned a B.S. in Broadcast Communications, and a minor in Cinema Studies.
In the fall of 2001, Dave got his first part-time job on the air at mainstream rock 104.9 The X, WXRX/Rockford. While at The X, Dave was the weekend overnight host, and produced station imaging.
Dave was the program director and afternoon host of rhythmic/chr 93.1 Jamz in Madison, Wisconsin. While at Jamz, he founded several benchmark events for the station including The Boat Bash, and Adult Ditch Days for the morning show.
In 2017 while at WJQM, Dave received the award for “Best Large Market Music Format Show” from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association.
Dave was on the air staff at Entercom Communications at legendary US*99 WUSN/Chicago.
Recently, Dave joined Hubbard Broadcasting in Chicago. He can be heard regularly on Classic Rock 97.1 FM The Drive WDRV/Chicago.
